And how can it help my life? Here is a blog post I wrote containing my personal knowledge I have accumulated over the years on the metaphysical properties of amethyst. Amethyst is a stone of peace of mind, spirituality, and protection. It’s energy acts as a shield of light that surrounds you and protects your aura. It also assists source energy to flow through your crown chakra. Amethyst assists the crown chakra due to its deep purple color.
Amethyst is a calming stone that promotes creativity and helps reduce mental stress, grief, anxiety, and depression.
 
Places to put your amethyst:
Amethyst is also a great stone to help you to focus and to stay on task making it the perfect to stone to place in your work environment great places to put your amethyst can be
  • On your work desk
  • On a bookcase
Amethyst is also a great stone to help you get more rest which is important for quality of life , to feel good throughout your day, to have more energy while accomplishing your tasks, and overall success. Amethyst also assists with those who have trouble sleeping including those who have insomnia, and helps to create a calm environment to promote peaceful sleep, and good dreams. Places to put amethyst in your bedroom are:
  • On your night stand next to your bed
  • On a desk in your room 
  • Underneath your bed
  • under your pillow ( smaller tumbled pieces would be best)

Amethyst is a great stone to help clear the mind helping anyone who has high stress/stress from everyday life, Anxiety, depression insomnia etc. This stone can help you to stay calm during situations where you may need it so feel free to carry one in your pocket or even better wear in a piece of jewelry. Wearing amethyst in a piece of jewelry helps in always having it on you and will block any type of negativity while you're away from home. It can also help you to have a clear/open mind, help with decision making, and allowing you open to new ideas.

Meditation:
Meditating with amethyst will help to cleanse and recharge your energy as well as your mind. It’ll also help you to open up to accessing new channels/waves of knowledge, creativity, inspiring realizations, and new ideas. Amethyst is considered a master healing stone helping to heal any type of body pain you may be experiencing. Start by placing amethyst where the body pain is and meditating for 15-20 minutes. To heal body pain you may lay down or sit in mediation pose and place the amethyst on the part of your body that is in pain. For opening your mind you can hold it in your hands, place it/ hold it up to your forehead or place it on your lap. Helpful visualizations while mediating with amethyst can be imaging a violet light in your mind imaging a white/golden light or all of the above coming in through the top of your head and surrounding you. Throughout History Amethyst was also used by the Greeks/Romans to project protect against drunkenness and it is now known as the one of the number one stones to help against alcohol addiction. Amethyst was also used by warriors to offer protection, to attain a clear/open mind allowing them to be level headed and to make quick decisions when needed.
